Facebook has began labelling Politicals ads but Mark makes a huge mistake while letting us know

Facebook CEO in a post made known some interesting feature which will help make facebook a fake political ads less zone. Mark zuckerberg revealed that facebook will label political ads and even go to the extent of making public the analytics report of the Ads such as how much being paid and how many people reached broken down to gender.

In his words

“When you click on the label, you’ll be able to see an archive with more information like how much money a campaign spent on that ad and how many people saw it — broken down by age, location and gender.”

The motive is to boycott the fake accounts and ads which were used during a Russian election. Mark claims the feature has been tested for month , as we told you here.

Well that being said, Mark seems to have gotten the facebook ecosystem confused when he said “If you see a political ad that isn’t labeled, report it to us and we’ll review it. If the ad meets our standards for political advertising, we’ll take it down, add it to the archive, and prevent whoever ran it from running political ads until we can verify them.”

In interpretation
Yes, when you see an Ad which is not labelled, report it. Facebook will review it. If it does meet requirement, facebook will take it down.

That what Zuck was trying to say, unless he was being sarcastic, as it is social media where he is free to make such mistakes with nobody calling him to order.

Read what Mark Zuckerberg said in full:

Starting today, we’re officially creating a new standard of transparency for online political ads. Increased transparency will lead to increased accountability and responsibility for advertisers over time.

– Every election-related or issue ad on Facebook and Instagram in the US will now have to be clearly labeled with information from the advertiser about who paid for it.

– When you click on the label, you’ll be able to see an archive with more information like how much money a campaign spent on that ad and how many people saw it — broken down by age, location and gender.

– You can find the same archive at https://web.facebook.com/politicalcontentads, where you can search for political or issue ads that an advertiser has targeting people in the US. We’ll keep them there for seven years.

– Anyone who wants to run a political ad will have to verify their identity and location.

We’ve been testing this new system for months, but it won’t be perfect right away. If you see a political ad that isn’t labeled, report it to us and we’ll review it. If the ad meets our standards for political advertising, we’ll take it down, add it to the archive, and prevent whoever ran it from running political ads until we can verify them.

One of my top priorities for 2018 is making sure we help prevent interference and misinformation in elections. These changes won’t fix everything, but they will make it a lot harder for anyone to do what the Russians did during the 2016 election and use fake accounts and pages to run ads. I hope they’ll also raise the bar for all political advertising online.

Get to know about Instagram new survey feature – Emoji Slider

Get to know about Instagram new survey feature - Emoji Slider

Instagram is at the frontiers of rolling out social media engaging tools ever since Facebook purchased the company.
A new feature which looks to change the way you rate things is released in the updated version of the app on app stores. Instagram called it Emoji Sliders. Emoji Sliders are basically a new tool to create polls and surveys by Emoji response.

If that is quite confusing, you can create a poll on you story and ask your friends, how Emoji it is. For an example you take a photo of a new recipe, post it online and ask your friends how tasty Emoji it is. Your fiends on the response side will use sliders to rate your new recipe.

If you find this very interesting, you can really engage your fans online with surveys that don’t use the legacy way of response. Go over to your sticker tray to use the fun-based survey.

What is Google JBL LinkBar – Google JBL LinkBar explained

Google JBL LinkBar

What is Google JBL link bar that just popped out as we’re a day closer to I/O, google’s developer’s conference ? Well. Google JBL LinkBar is a voice command device made by the partnership of Google with JBL. It’s a voice controlled device with in built google assistant and Android TV. Designed to give the ever growing Android TV users a voice control over what they’re watching. It is a Rectangular bar shaped and black in color according to video below.

Okay great, what about Google home ?.
Google Home still exists but I think JBL link bar is intended to help Google Home Artificial intelligent assistant with basic tasks that has to do with TVs like – Turning on the TV, Changing channels. JBL can control other AI linked gadget just like google Home by voice , but I think it was made just for TVs.

Watch this video below:

You may want to know that JBL comes with four HDMI inputs, no sub-woofers, optical, line-in and Ethernet. And we don’t know about the pricing yet. Ridiculous how the length of the bar is almost the same with a TV.
